George Pickens is entering the 2026 NFL season with enormous expectations, and Micah Parsons just raised the bar even higher for the Dallas Cowboys’ wide receiver.
Speaking about Pickens on the Bleacher Report podcast, Parsons predicted that the Cowboys star could score at least 18 touchdowns this season while making a serious case to be the NFL’s best receiver. “He said he’s gonna show he’s the best receiver in the league,” Parsons said. “I might have to give it to GP, too. I think he might triple crown it.”
Parsons was then asked whether he expected Pickens to produce big numbers in both receiving yards and touchdowns. “I got him for at least 15, 16. 16 touchdowns,” Parsons said. “And how many yards? I think he’s the greatest red zone threat in the league. I think GP can go at least 18.”
Parsons ultimately made it clear that he believes the ceiling is extremely high for Pickens. “But I think he’s very capable,” Parsons said. “It’s just about what the GP wants to do. When it’s prime time. Oh, he’s showing up. There’s no doubt GP showing up.”

Those comments are significant because Parsons is not simply predicting another productive season. He is suggesting Pickens could enter the conversation for the league’s best receiver while potentially doubling his previous career high in touchdown catches.
Pickens has already given Cowboys fans plenty of reasons to believe a breakout is possible. His first season in Dallas was easily the most productive campaign of his career, and he now enters his second season in the Cowboys offense alongside CeeDee Lamb.

The 1,429-yard season that changed George Pickens’ ceiling
Pickens finished the 2025 regular season with 93 receptions for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns on 137 targets. His 1,429 receiving yards ranked third in the NFL, while his 93 receptions ranked eighth, and his nine touchdowns tied for eighth.
More importantly, the production represented a major jump from his previous career best. Pickens had never surpassed 1,140 receiving yards or five touchdown catches during his three seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He also averaged 15.4 yards per reception and recorded 73 first downs in 2025, demonstrating that his value was not limited to occasional explosive plays.
Now, the challenge is turning that production into something even bigger. An 18-touchdown season would require Pickens to double his 2025 total and would represent a massive career leap. That makes Parsons’ prediction aggressive, but it is not based on nothing.
With Lamb commanding defensive attention and Dak Prescott throwing him the football, Pickens should have opportunities to continue producing explosive plays.
Ultimately, Parsons has set an enormous target for Pickens. Reaching 18 touchdowns would put him in elite company, but if Pickens delivers anything close to that number, the Cowboys will have one of the NFL’s most dangerous receiving duos.
